- Candidates must have passed a means-test through Student Finance England (or your pertinent Government department if you are within Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland).
- To be qualified for the scholarship, you must be an undergraduate student full-time at the University of Leicester on 1 December.
- Note that if you are a medical student and granted an award from the University of Leicester Scholarship, you will be eligible for the initial 4 months of your degree. It is impossible to receive the University of Leicester icon Scholarship award until five years of the degree (or the sixth year when you are taking the intercalated option) because you’ll be receiving the funds for your expenses for living and fees straight from the NHS.
